The bed was great. The room very clean and stayed with the era of the time.
Being stuck in the alley. Needed another chair to sit on.
It was close to Frenchman Ave and within walking distance of music.
It was not as nice as what I usually stay in. Big difference between 3 and 3 1/2 stars. The problem was, many of the nicer places were already booked. The room was small and not well maintained. The continental breakfast was unremarkable. Also, had to pay $30 a day for parking.
The staff were fantastic and very professional. The courtyard was pretty. The location was great and quiet
The room was much too small (worse than Motel 6) and the bed had a foot board which made it difficult for my 6'3" tall husband to sleep
Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Was a good location to the French Quarter and shopping. The room was very clean except for the small trace of mold on the bathroom window.
The don't what warm water let alone hot water is. Called about the problem and was told to let it recover, well it doesn't recover. One morning the water was almost luke warm the next was just plain cold, I checked the water temperature several times throughout the day and there was no such thing as warm water, with the faucet turned up all the way. Finally on the last (third) day the water was hot. To me there was no excuse for this. I was not in the main building but one across the street and I think there was only two rooms in it. There was definitely a problem and they did not address it, when asked. For $ 300.00 a night there should be hot water.
Great location for visiting the French Quarter. Can walk to everything, but are outside of the craziness.
Room was windowless and dark. Cold shower on one day of the stay.
Beautiful antique furniture in the rooms, and the location is fantastic - right between the french quarter and frenchman street.
Parking is $20/day No breakfast
The house is very vintage and has lots of antique looking items.. Yet the rooms are very comfortable relaxing and modern! Excellent staff that was able to guide us on our adventures and answer our millions of questions! Very unique hotel!!!
Front desk night lady was completely rude about a noise complaint.. And didn't know who she was yelling at... It wasn't us yet she thought it was alright to be completely rude to my room... Check where the noise is coming from before you snap at paying guests! Day staff was 150% excellent!!!
Lamothe is a charming old guest house right on the edge of the French Quarter. There was a hot tub on the way to my room and outside (I.E. the walk from reception to my room) was leafy, cosy and welcoming. The room that I stayed in was perfect for one to two people and very clean.
Nothing. Brilliant brilliant brilliant.
The location was perfect. Just a block away from all the music of Frenchmen St and still on the quieter side of the Quarter. Also just a short walk away from Jackson Square, Bourbon St, Cafe du Monde. Really loved the courtyard and the outside decor. Very New Orleans. Really loved the gated parking lot. Felt like the car was secure. Would definitely visit again on our next trip.
